Pop Culture
The aim of this BYTE is to study and explore the evolution and history of pop culture around the world. Students will focus on the impact and influences of social pop icons, from the early 50s through to today. This focus will culminate in students creating a pop culture-inspired ‘masterpiece' (using visual arts, technology, music, film, digital imaging) accompanied by a written folio that outlines their understanding, appreciation and a chosen pop culture aspect (eg art, music, screen, fashion) or icon (eg Marilyn Monroe, The Beatles, Andy Warhol, 2Pac, Spice Girls).
