McKinnon Sports Leadership Award

MSLA is an award designed to give students a basic understanding of sports leadership and enable them to progress further in areas of leadership. Based on an award from the UK , it is a practical program where students demonstrate knowledge and understanding mainly through physical competence but also through written work and a demonstration of ICT. After learning the skills of sports leadership, students will be assessed by leading a group of primary school aged children in 2 different sports.

Certificates will be awarded when the teacher is confident that the student is competent to lead a number of sports sessions.
